BUZZTGMA Board Opens ‘Errors & Omissions’ Window for 2025 Nominations

 Published By Peter Gasper

Following the release of nominees for the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), the awards board has officially opened the ‘Errors & Omissions’ window to address concerns regarding the nominations.

Stakeholders and industry players who wish to seek clarifications or contest omissions have until Sunday, March 23, 2025, to submit their concerns via info@ghanamusicawards.com. The TGMA board has encouraged all interested parties to take advantage of this opportunity before the deadline.

Since the announcement of nominees on Saturday, March 15, social media has been abuzz with debates over category placements and perceived snubs. Among the most discussed omissions is Kojo Blak’s “Excellent”, which many believe deserved a spot in the Best New Artiste category. Similarly, fans have questioned why King Paluta’s hit song “Makoma” did not receive nominations in categories such as Most Popular Song of the Year, Record of the Year, or Hiplife Song of the Year.

Another notable omission that has sparked controversy is Arathejay’s “Jesus Christ”, which fans argue was deserving of nominations in Best Hiplife Song and Collaboration of the Year. The absence of DopeNation also raised eyebrows, but the TGMA board clarified that the duo did not grant consent for their nomination, leading to their exclusion.

While criticism of the nomination process continues, some believe the Errors & Omissions window presents a fair opportunity for adjustments. With just a few days left until the deadline, it remains uncertain whether any significant changes will be made to the final list.
