Ghanaian rapper, Maradona Yeboah Adjei also known as Guru NKZ has opened up about his depressing moments back in 2020.
In an interview with Felicia Osei, the host of Adwuma Adwuma on Onua FM, Guru recounted how what was meant to be a two weeks holiday in the US led to his depression.
He said he traveled just before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, hence he could not return quickly and spent five months in the US due to travel ban at the height of the pandemic.
According to him, upon his return to Ghana, a lot had changed and his career took a nosedive.
He noted that it was a difficult moment for him as he even lost his team to work with.
“I went for two weeks and Covid prolonged my stay. When I came back, everything had messed up in the country and I was just trying to build a new energy around so that took some time. There were a lot of disappointment that was I released my song ‘Mep3 bad energy’,” he recalled.
