Two Pizzaman workers in Ghana have been jailed to 10 years in prison for theft, according to reports on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
According to Ghanaweb reported that, the two workers, Seidu Karim and Rashid Abdullah, conspired to take 20 cartons of chicken wings and two (2) litres of cooking oil from the company’s warehouse in Kumasi, in which they were meant to be prepared for customers.
During the course of the investigation, Seidu Karim confessed to stealing twenty cartoons of chicken wings and gallons of cooking oil from the company over a two-month period. They were each sentenced to five years in prison.
In reacting to the news, presenter Abeiku Santana blasted the CEO of Pizzaman, Boakye Yiadom, for claiming to be a youth leader while enabling the ‘poor guys’ to be jailed.
According to Abeiku, the employees shouldn’t have treated in this manner, because the CEO could have deducted the stolen items from their monthly salary rather than getting them arrested.
This has received a lot of attention from netizens who have shared their thoughts on why Abeiku Santana is defending the workers for their robbery attitude that led them in jail.
