Two of Nigeria’s international music stars, Ibrahim Balogun, well known as Wizkid and Temilade Openiyi, professionally called Tems have both won an award at the Just ended 2023 iHeart Radio Awards.
At the international award ceremony held in Los Angeles on Monday March 27, 2023, the multi-award-winning musicians were once again recognized for their significant talents and originality.
The singers, who delivered the international smash hit ‘Essence’ shared the Best Afrobeats Artist award. Tems and Wizkid defeated other Afrobeats stars such as Ckay, Fireboy, and Burna Boy, to take home the award.
Tems again won the Best Hip Hop Song for the Best Collaboration for her contributions to Future’s ‘Wait For U’.
